Today was the first day in nearly a month that the four of us have been together. The sun was shining and we were restless. The challenge of living here is that some of our favorite activities are not readily accessible to us, like a public pool or the beach, friends or family. So I did a quick search for a local farm to take the girls too and found Johnsons’ Farm which features peach, corn and apple picking.
As you can see, we enjoyed our time there and came home with nearly 20 lbs of peaches that the girls have requested to be turned into pies and canned peaches for those winter school snacks. We will return there in a couple of weeks for Apple Fest, so we can make some applesauce.
The internet saves the day!
