When our ancient blender died this summer I wanted to get a blender that was easier to wrangle so the girls could use it.
Two weeks ago I taught KJ how to make a smoothie. Now she makes them all the time, but especially in the morning before school. This is how we generally get a bunch of our fruit in a day, frozen strawberries, blueberries and bananas are the usual ingredients along with yogurt and milk. A perfect energy boost before school.
97% of the time it goes really well. 3% of the time I’m cursing the mess. And 100% of the time the grin on her face when she hands me my smoothie makes me happy.
