About

OH, the ‘About’ page… I begged 2 friends to write this page for me, but apparently they have lives and whatnot.

The problem is that everything I write is either wildly egotistic or horribly self deprecating. So here goes….

I am a woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.  At any given time I can be awesome at all or none of them.

I garden to feed my soul and my family.  I read and study to be able to think about the world around me.  And on really good days, I seek to see where God is at work in the world.

Welcome to my wonderings about faith, family and all that goes with it.

About You as written by my dear friend ACJ:

In this life, we are wise to make space to linger in the almost-evening on the front porch with something to sip and wait for the ones we love to wander by and sit awhile with us. And as we sit together, we’ll wonder out loud about the things that make our hearts beat and we’ll be gladdened for it and maybe feel a bit less lonely.

So from time to time I’ll wander past this stoop, and be warmed to know another thinks in the same direction as me every once in a while. And if you’re here too, there will be three. And we all know what happens when two or three are gathered…

About me as written by the Green Mango, the very best kind of mango there is…

In the time it took you to read this sentence, Nadia has read two novels and eight blog posts.

A dedicated introvert, Nadia can be lured out of doors to tend gardens of both the literal and figurative nature, to procure a cup of joe, to ponder a sunset, and poke a hornets’ nest. She, like many of the best kind of people, is a curious balance of soft and strong, introspective and ambitious, riotous and righteous. Ostensibly, Nadia purports to hate the colour pink. This may be the only lie she will tell you if you are lucky enough to sit with her on the front stoop.

WOW – they really nailed you! But please tell me you don’t really like pink.

There’s that pesky front-stoop lie again. Just admit that you love it. No judgement. I mean, not a LOT of judgement, at least.
